Peggy A. Bates, 83 of Greenfield passed away Monday, September 28, 2015 at Legacy at Springhurst. She was born March 16, 1932 in Mount Vernon, Arkansas to the late Farris O. and Adelle (Cooper) Fulmer.
She enjoyed camping, fishing and was an adventurous traveler camping in the Alaska wilderness. Peggy and her husband Edward were owners of E & P Custom Home Builders and also owned Hoosier Bass Inn in Moore Haven, Florida.
Peggy is survived by her son; Thomas Greenslade of Greenfield, brother Bill Fulmer and sisters; Barb Brewer, Betty Stapert, Tommie Gayler, Jo Holmes all of Heber Springs, Ark., granddaughter Kiley (Brandon) Cooper and great grandsons; Grayson and Dawsyn Cooper.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward Bates and son, Jimmy E. Greenslade.
Friends may call 12:30 2:30 pm, Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Funeral services will be 2:30 pm at the funeral home will burial immediately following at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis.
