Peggy Katherine Kniep

Peggy Katherine Kniep February 14, 1927 - August 9, 2011 Peggy Katherine Kniep age 84, a resident of Greenfield passed away Tuesday night August 9, 2011 at her home. She was born February 14, 1927 in Greenfield, Indiana to the late Lester and Janice (Webb) Jacobs. Peggy retired from Naval Avionics after 30 years of employment, was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Greenfield, she volunteered at the Hancock County Humane Society, loved caring for animals, Square Dancing and shopping at Flea Markets. She is survived by her daughters, Betty Beeman of Greenfield, Alice Spencer of Spiceland, Eileen Goodloe of Atlanta, Ga., Phyllis Carr of Columbia, Ten, sons, Earl Hinkle of Greenfield, Don Kniep of Indianapolis, sister, June Walker of Greenfield, 31 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Kniep, son, Bill Kniep and her brother, Tom Jacobs. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday August 13, 2011 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Entombment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis. Friends may call Friday August 12, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hancock County Humane Society, 214 East Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140.
