Phillip Gambrel

Phillip H. Gambrel, age 76 of Greenfield, IN passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at his residence. He was born on November 14, 1940 in Charlottesville, IN to the late John & Elizabeth (Burk) Gambrel. Phillip graduated from Greenfield High School in 1959 and would enlist in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Albany from 1962-1966. He then worked most of his career as an Insurance Adjuster & Processor until his retirement in 2001. He was a member of the Greenfield Christian Church and a very active member of the Greenfield Community Choir. Surviving Phillip are his sons, Bryan Gambrel of Cincinnati, OH; Todd Gambrel of Greenfield; brother, Charles Gambrel of Greenfield; sister, Karen Murnan of Texas; and 3 grandchildren. Preceding Phillip in death are his parents listed above. A memorial visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. A memorial service will be held immediately following the visitation at 11:00am at the funeral home.
