Ralph E. Stanley, age 81 of Greenfield passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Harrison Terrace, Indianapolis. He was born February 18, 1934 in Greenfield to the late Horace Joe and Irene (Dunham) Stanley.
Ralph was a graduate of Greenfield High School and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Ralph married Janice (Cole) Stanley on December 26, 1954 in Greenfield. He retired from the U. S. Air Force in 1974 and worked 15 years at Naval Avionics until he retired and was the owner of Reliable Electricity.
He was a member of the Greenfield Church of God and the American Legion. Ralph loved to bowl, fish, golf, camp, ride motorcycles, build and fly radio controlled airplanes.
He is survived by his wife Janice (Cole) Stanley of Greenfield, daughter; Dana Bane of Greenfield, daughter-in-law Pam Stanley of Greenfield, brothers; Richard (Pam) Stanley of Greenfield, Robert (Karen) Stanley of Greenwood, sister; Joan King of New Palestine, grandchildren; Miya, Brian, Shannon, Eddie, 4 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Preceding him in death are his parents, son; Jeffery Stanley and brother; Donald Stanley.
Friends may call 2 -6 pm, Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield. Services will be 11 am Monday July 27th at the funeral home with Pastor Ira Scott officiating. Burial with military rites will follow at Park Cemetery.
