Ralph E. Strubbe, 100 years, a resident of Greenfield passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born June 17, 1916 in Hancock County, Indiana to the late Edward G. & Mary Flossie (Kingery) Strubbe.
Ralph graduated from Greenfield High School, attended Arsenal Tech for Lathe Schooling and owned and operated Strubbe Gravel Co. in Greenfield. He was a member of Greenfield Optimist Club, Redmens Lodge, National Historical Society and attended Curry's Chapel United Methodist Church. The love of his life was his family.
He is survived by, brother, George R. Strubbe, son, Ralph Eugene (Judy) Strubbe, daughter, Paula E. Hammond, grandsons, Ronald (Kristy) Strubbe, Robert Strubbe, Christopher (Amanda) Strubbe, granddaughters, Lori (Bill) Gossett, Penny (Harry) Burgess, stepson, Daniel J. (Debbie) Fettig, stepdaughter, Jo Ellen (Michael) McFaddin, 9 great-grandchildren, many step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Norma Neal 34 years, Peggy Strubbe, Julia J. Strubbe 14 years, sisters, Hazel M. Muir, Clara J. Bundy, Ruth V. Miller, son-in-law, Donn E. Hammond and great granddaughter, Christina M. Kellermeier.
Visitation will be 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Funeral service will be 10:00 am Monday, February 6, 2017 at the funeral home, burial will follow at Curry's Chapel Cemetery, Greenfield.
