Raymond S. Burch October 23, 1938 - August 6, 2009 Raymond S. Burch, 70, a resident of Knightstown, formerly of Nashville, IN passed away Thursday, August 6, 2009 at his home. He was born October 23, 1938 in Worthington, Indiana and was the son of the late Harry Sylvan and Ethel Pauline (Allen) Burch. Raymond served in the U.S. Army, retired in 2004 as a Teamster Truck Driver with Ruan Inc. after 30 plus years of service, was former chief and member of Gatesville Volunteer Fire Department. He was a classic car lover, enjoyed working on his 1951 Kaiser and was an avid train collector. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Trudy M. (Toler) Burch of Knightstown; sons, Alen Burch of Memphis, TN; Jeffrey Burch of Plano, TX; Jason Burch of Nashville, IN; daughters, Cindy James of Cleveland, OH; Robin Harrison of Orlando, FL; Michelle Ross of Trafalgar, IN; Melissa Arnold of Morgantown, IN; 13 grandchildren; 7 great- grandchildren; sisters, Ida Olvey of Carlisle, IN and Norma Roberts of Carthage, IN. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Burch and a sister, Hazel Burch. Funeral service will be held Monday, August 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield with Pastor Debbie Beason officiating. Graveside service with military rites provided by the Greenfield Veterans Honor Guard will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Currys Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, August 9, 2009 from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Charlottesville United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home. Comments My thoughts and prayers go to the family of Raymond Burch.
