Raymond R. Gwaltney April 5, 1947 - October 21, 2009 Raymond R. Gwaltney, age 62 years, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday morning October 21, 2009 at Golden Living Center at Brandywine, Greenfield. He was born April 5, 1947 in Washington, D.C. and is the son of the late Grover Raymond and Sara (Newman) Gwaltney. He served four years in the US Army and later retired in 1991 from the US Navy after 16 years as a medical deep sea diving technician. Survivors include his wife Bonnie (Weisheit) Gwaltney of Greenfield, whom he married December 21, 1998, daughter, Leslie Ann (Ralph) Newman of Greensburg, step-daughter, Misty (Shane) Brake of Indianapolis, step-son, Richard (Marianne) Beach of Beech Grove, 2 grandchildren, Matthew and Sarah Newman, 3 step-grandchildren, Scott Beach, Anthony Beach and Coral Smith. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield with Mark Vice officiating. Burial will be Monday 11:00 a.m. at Marion National Cemetery, 1700 E. 38th Street, Marion, Indiana with full military graveside rites.
