Rebecca Lynn Groce

In loving memory of Rebecca Lynn "Peel" Groce a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She entered the world on May 14, 1959, in Indianapolis, Indiana, born to James Peel and Jimmie Neil Cushing. She peacefully departed at home on January 3, 2024, reuniting with her son Travis Terry Groce Jr. The youngest sisters to Sandra, Connie, and Judy. Becky leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth.

She is survived by, her husband of 48 years, Travis Terry Groce Sr., her mother Jimmie Cushing, and her cherished grandchildren Paige, Kaelyn and Lucas Groce.

For many years Becky contributed her dedication and skills working assembly eventually moving up to a position as purchasing agent at Trilithic, Inc. beyond her professional life, she had a special love for owls, comfy robes and PJs, a refreshing Diet Coke, delectable desserts, however nothing could surpass the thrill of a visit to the casino.

In her younger days, those who knew Becky well could recall her always ready to share her unfiltered opinions…

Becky loved with an intensity that resonated loudly and proudly. Despite health challenges, She faced adversity head on and defied the odds.

Together with her husband Travis she found joy in vacationing in Tennessee renting cabins to create lasting memories. Becky was a woman of action, consistently engaging in projects like painting the house or redecorating adding her personal touch to everything. Her pleasures were simple yet profound; sunbathing, shopping, sleeping with the tv on, adorning herself with jewelry, especially turquoise.

Visitation to celebrate Becky's life will be held at Stillinger Family Funeral Home in Cumberland, Indiana on Saturday, January 13th, 2024 for immediate family from 10am-11am and open to extended family and friends from 11am-1pm. Funeral services will start at 1pm following entombment at Washington Park East Cemetery.
