Richard "Ric" Burrell October 27, 1946 - March 16, 2014
Richard Steven Burrell 67, of Greenfield, IN, passed away Sunday March 16, 2014 in Indianapolis. He was born on October 27, 1946 in Elkhart, Indiana, the son of the late George and Reba Burrell. He was employed at the Finance Center at Ft. Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis for over 20 years, retiring in 2008. Richard was a Vietnam Veteran and a member of VFW Post #2693, Greenfield serving as Post Commander for 4 years. He is survived by his wife Connie; sons, Matthew (Jean) and Nicholas Burrell; sister, Rita Hupp; grandchildren, Samuel and Ava; stepchildren, Misty and Tommy Chew and Stephanie Dublin; family friend, Peter Gomez. A celebration of Richards life will take place on Sat. March 29th at 1:00 p.m. at the VFW Post #2693, 529 Apple St., Greenfield, IN .

My fondest memory of Ric, is him tutoring me in pre - algebra. He was an extremely intelligent person and he will be missed by many. Mom, I love you and I am truly " grieving for your loss.

Was in the same class as Ric. Shared the same birthday and was in Viet Nam at the same time. Condolences to his family. He was a talented basketball player. RIP in " peace fellow Vet!!!!!!!!!
