Richard F Coffin March 13, 1928 - May 28, 2014 Richard F. Coffin 86, of Greenfield passed away on Wednesday May 28, 2014 at Hancock Regional Hospice. He was born on March 13, 1928 in Greenfield, the son of the late William C. and Anna R (True) Coffin. Richard was a 1947 graduate of Greenfield High School and served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War, Richard retired from Eli Lilly in 1990 with 35 years of service. He was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church. Previously he served as a choir Director for 22 years at the Greenfield Friends Church, 3 years at Trinity Park United Methodist Church and 3 years at First Presbyterian Church. Surviving relatives include; daughter; Janice L. ( David) Dryer of Greenfield, 2 sons; Richard D. ( Carolyn) Coffin of Greenfield and Mark D. (Mary Jo) Coffin of New Hill, North Carolina, 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by; parents, wife; Barbara J. (Sherrow) Coffin, sisters; Kathryn L. McConnell, Ada M. Headlee, brothers; August N. Wulf, James P., William R., Carl Jr. and Charles M. Coffin. Funeral services will be Saturday May 31, 2014 at 10:00 am at Stillinger Family Funeral Home Pasco Chapel 1780 West Main Street Greenfield, Indiana 46140 with burial to follow at Park Cemetery.
