Richard E. Polston, 90 years, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025, in Fishers, Indiana, surrounded by his family. He was born October 24, 1935 in Jabez, Kentucky, to the late Milford and Myrtle (Cain) Polston.
He was a machinist for Mitchell & Scott Industries. Richard attended Faith Chapel in Knightstown and Calvary Missionary Baptist church in Fairland, Indiana. Richard enjoyed attending church revivals with his wife, hunting, trading guns, knives and pocket watches. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his family especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Wayne (Lil) Polston, daughter-in-law, Deborah "Deb" Polston, grandchildren, Megan Polston (Anthony Whiteside), Jeremy (Kendall) Polston, great granddaughter, Charlotte Polston, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane (Davis) Polston whom he married on August 15, 1959, son Richard "Craig" Polston, brothers, Lisco, Lonnie, Edsel, Rova, sisters, Elsie Oaks, Thelma LaFavers, Versie Bolin, Dorothy Polston, and Bessie Anderson.
Visitation will be 11:00 am until 2:00 pm Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 W. Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana, 46140. Service will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
