Richard J. Robertson May 1, 1925 - June 23, 2007 Richard James Robertson, RPh age 82 years a resident of Greenfield passed away Saturday evening June 23, 2007 at Brandywine Living Center in Greenfield. He was born May 1, 1925 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Dr. Ray B. & Helen (Bockstahler) Robertson. He was a 1943 graduate of Warren Central High School and a 1953 graduate of Butler University. He was a self-employed pharmacist having owned and operated Robertsons Drugs of Greenfield from 1954 to 1986. He served in the US Army in the Medical Battalion from 1943 to 1946. He is a member of the Bradley United Methodist Church, the Cumberland Masonic Lodge # 726, Murat Shrine and a former member of the Greenfield American Legion. Survivors include his daughter, Kyle (Don) Holder, son, Andrew (Susan) Robertson both of Greenfield, brothers, Dr. Raymond Robertson of Hinsdale, IL, Dr. Edwin Robertson of Indianapolis, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Doris (Campbell) Robertson in 2004, whom he married on July 3, 1948. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Washington Park East Community Life Center, Indianapolis. Military graveside rites will be provided by the Greenfield Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home in Greenfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
