Richard S. Steele September 7, 1925 - September 19, 2014 Richard S. Steele, age 89, of McCordsville passed away Friday, September 19, 2014 at his home. He was born September 7, 1925 in Hancock County to the late Paul and Bessie (Stoner) Steele. After high school, Richard married Lois (Tyler) Steele on October 1, 1948. Together they farmed in the Hancock County area for many years prior to retirement. He was a member of the Oaklandon F & AM Masonic Lodge and of Amity UMC. Richard is survived by his wife, Lois, of McCordsville; son, Philip (Elaine) Steele of McCordsville; daughters, Rosalie Steele of Greenfield, Edith (Glenn) Van Arsdall of Indianapolis, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Cyrus Steele. Friends may call Tuesday September 23 from 4-8 pm at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield. Funeral Service will be 10 am Wednesday, September 24, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
