Richard (Dick) F. Wooten May 13, 1931 - October 19, 2010 Richard (Dick) F. Wooten, 79, a resident of Greenfield passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis. He was born May 13, 1931 in Indianapolis and was the son of the late Roscoe and Thelma Louise (Benefiel) Wooten. He was a 1951 graduate of Charlottesville High School. He was employed as Director of Printing & Reproduction at Naval Avionics for 30 years. He was a member of the Eden United Methodist Church, Eden Masonic Lodge # 477, a Boy Scout leader, member of Melody Masters and volunteered in communications with the Hancock County Sheriffs Department during the late 1960s. He also loved wood working, painting, gospel music, camping, fishing, bird watching and was an avid aviation enthusiast. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Christmas) Wooten; four daughters, Vickie (Gifford) Reid of Greenfield, Cindy (David) Adams of Shelbyville, Debbie (Brian) Apple of Carmel and Angie (Tom) McGraw of Indianapolis; a brother Harlan Wooten of Fort Myers, FL; grandchildren, Christian & Cody Reid, Tyler (Karly) & Cortney Adams, Mallery & Melyn Apple, Bailey Hunsberger, Josie & Marissa McGraw and a niece, Julie Guernsey of Ft. Myers, FL. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, of Greenfield with Pastor Sally Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow at Eden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday, October 22, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with Masonic services at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Eden United Methodist Church, 2122 E. Eden Rd., Greenfield, IN, 46140 or Riley Hospital, 702 Barnhill Dr., Indianapolis, IN, 46202. Comments Thinking of you all.
