Robert E. Dishman June 3, 1924 - June 27, 2008 Robert E. (Bob) Dishman, 84 of Greenfield passed away Friday, June 27th at Brandywine Nursing and Rehab. Mr. Dishman was born June 3, 1924 in Hancock County to Charles Albert Dishman and Marie (Roland) Dishman-Corkins. A life-long resident of Greenfield, Bob proudly served his country during WWII in the 3rd Marine Division, Pacific Theatre, saw action at Iwo Jima and other conflicts. He was an active life member of the Greenfield American Legion Post #119 and the 40 & 8, Greenfield V.F.W and Disabled Veterans of Greenfield. He was a carpenter for many years and a member of Local #60 Carpenters Union. Mr. Dishman is survived by sons; Roger (Susie) Dishman, Randy (Cheryl) Dishman, Danny (Betty) Dishman all of Anderson, IN and Jay (Debi) Dishman of Greenfield, Daughter Pamela Sue (John) Isom of Anderson, In.; Brother, Bill (Julie) Dishman of Greenfield, sisters; Patty (Floyd) Adkins and Bonnie Hill both of Greenfield, Ex Wife; Phyllis (White) Dishman-Downs of Anderson, IN, grandchildren; Shane Dishman, Dustin Dishman, Chad DIshman, and Lisa Morrow all of Greenfield, Jason DIshman of Greenwood, Deserai Dishman-Dorsey and Chasity Rhodes of Anderson, Daina Dishman of Markleville, Tammy Demalon and Heather Tucker of Fishers and Joshua Dishman of Chesterfield and 25 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Charles A. Dishman and Sister Virginia Johnson. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1:00 P.M.on Tuesday, July 1st at Park Cemetery in Greenfield with Pastor Joel Brown officiating.
