Robert Garrigus Sr

Robert C. Garrigus Sr., age 70, of Greenfield, Indiana, passed away on October 28, 2019 at Hancock Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 6, 1949, in Princeton, IN to the late Robert "Clyde" & Wilma (Haupt) Garrigus. Robert graduated from Decatur Central High School in 1967. He married the love of his life, Margaret Garrigus, on July 14, 1973. Robert was a devoted member of Greenfield Christian Church. He spent his career with Eli Lilly until his retirement in 2000. Robert enjoyed his bowling leagues, being a part of the Lilly golf team, art and horses. He was an avid sports fan and would coach his kid's baseball teams. He also loved the figure 8 races at the Indianapolis Speedrome. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his precious family who he loved dearly. Left to cherish Robert's memory are his wife; Margaret Garrigus, children; Robert (Janet) Garrigus Jr., Shannon Stoops, David Garrigus, Thomas Garrigus, Brandon (Brenda)Garrigus, siblings; Tom (Venita) Garrigus and Debra (Steve) Harlan, 14 grandchildren & 21 great-grandchildren Robert is proceeded in death by his parents, listed above and son-in-law Tracy Stoops. Visitation for Robert will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday November 4, 2019 at Greenfield Christian Church 23 N East St, Greenfield, IN 46140. A Funeral Service will be at the church on Tuesday November 5, 2019 at 10:00 am with Pastor Frank Everett officiating.
