Robert "Rob" William Lyons, 72, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 20, 2025 at Community Heart & Vascular Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born January 4, 1953, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Joseph and Marie (Kelly) Lyons.

Rob graduated from Warren Central High School in 1971 and received an Associate's degree from Ivy Tech Community College. Rob married the love of his life, Donna (Callaway) Lyons on May 3, 1979. He worked as a system analyst for Defense Finance Accounting Service for 15 years before retiring in 2022. Rob attended Kingsway Christian Church, Park Chapel, and Calvary Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Navy.

Rob was a proud member of the American Legion and a man of many passions. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, a gifted guitarist, and a devoted reader with a deep love for music—and an even deeper love for the Lord. Rob cherished time with his family, often filling the room with laughter through his quick wit and unforgettable jokes. Above all, he lived a life of faith, trusting the Lord with all his heart.

Rob is survived by his loving wife; two daughters, Shawn (Marc) Mathias, Sarah (Justin) Tobey; four grandchildren, Grayson Mathias, Rogan Mathias, Nilah Tobey, Emery Tobey; two siblings, Dan (Vonnie) Lyons, Julie (Rich) Tablof; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, as listed above, and his siblings Noel Lyons and Marsha Stull.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 1450 W. Main St, Greenfield, IN 46140. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 12 p.m. at the church with military rites provided by the Greenfield Veteran Honor Guard. Stillinger Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with caring for the Lyons' family.
