Robert Wayne Miller

Robert Wayne Miller, 79 years, a resident of Greenfield passed away Monday October 23, 2023, at Hancock Regional Hospital, Greenfield. He was born May 25,1944 in Greenfield to the late Everett and Freda (Andrews) Miller.

He was a welder for Eli Lilly & Co. retiring in 1993 and owned his own welding shop after retirement. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, and the Masonic Lodge of Greenfield and the Murat Shrine. Always active, Robert was an avid golfer, and enjoyed water skiing, boating, camping, and riding his motorcycle. He was also the Crew Chief for Leary Boys Racing for 15 years.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret "Maggie" (Melton) Miller whom he married on April 11, 1965, sons, Brian (Sherri) Miller, Jim (Alexandra) Thomas; daughter, Marla (Daryl) Jefferson, grandchildren; Alexander Wilson, Taylor and Alana Miller, Braedon Bowling, Crystal Bowling, David, Mason, and Alan Thomas; great grandchildren, Dakota, Morgan, Brileigh, Michael, Joselyn, Cora, and Lincoln.

He is preceded in death by his parents mentioned above, and siblings, Bill Miller, Jim Miller, Judith Miller, and Linda Wolcott.

Visitation will be Monday, October 30, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 W. Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. The funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday with Dan Dijak officiating.
