Robert L. Van Duyn December 19, 1927 - February 9, 2008 Robert L. Van Duyn, 80, a resident of Carmel formerly of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Clarion North Hospital, Carmel. He was born December 19, 1927 in Indianapolis to the late Carl and Eva (Neff) Van Duyn. He was a graduate of Albuquerque High School, New Mexico, attended Indiana University and received his Masters from Butler University. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and later retired in 1988 from Eli Lilly as a Research Pharmacologist after 40 years of employment; he was a 60 year member of the Greenfield Christian Church, and its Choir Director for 25 years, Hancock Masonic Lodge 101, Scottish Rite and an avid fisherman. He is survived by his wife Barbara J. (Walker) Van Duyn of Carmel; son, J. Lee Van Duyn of San Antonio, TX, daughters, Lisa Van Duyn of Carmel, Lori Queisser of Westfield, IN; son William Harris of Bridgeport, OH; brother, Ed Van Duyn of Indianapolis; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Greenfield Christian Church with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery, Wilkinson. Friends may call Monday, February 11, 2008 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield with Masonic services at 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Greenfield Christian Church, 23 N.
