Robert Bob Walters

Robert "Bob" Walters, age 90 of Greenfield passed away, Monday, February 25, 2019 at Hancock Regional Hospice. He was born June 9, 1928 in Palestine, Illinois to the late Ralph and Ora (McDaniel) Walters. After high school Bob served as a Staff Sergeant for the U.S. Army. He married Jo Nell (Bartley) April 7, 1951. Bob enjoyed a 30-year career with Ford Motor Company, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed racing, cars, yardwork, football, family and friends. In his younger days Bob was also a pilot. He is survived by his wife Jo Nell of Greenfield; daughter, Barbara (Bill) Coffin; son, Robert (Cindy) Walters, Jr; sister, Gwen Simmerman; grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) DeHart, Jeff Coffin, Jody Walters, Jessica (Ryan) Reese and 5 great grandchildren. Friends may call 10 am until noon, Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Funeral service at noon with burial immediately following at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
