Roger Lee Roberts Sr. June 13, 1939 - May 11, 2014 Roger Lee Roberts Sr., age 74 passed away peacefully Sunday, May 11, 2014 at his home. He was born June 13, 1939 in Elizabeth, Illinois to the late Wallie Fred and Marcella Mae (Blair) Roberts. Roger was a 1957 graduate of Elizabeth High School. He was in the Army Reserve and a truck driver for 38 years prior to retirement from Perlman Rocque in 2007. Roger was an active member of the New Palestine Lions Club, a diehard NASCAR fan, enjoyed Texas Holdem, Euchre and Rummy. He always had a smile on his face and a quick-witted remark for every occasion. Roger never met a stranger in his life. Roger is survived by his children; Diane Johnson, Michael Roberts, Kimberly Fischer, Melody (Tom) Norwood, Ken Roberts, Robin Roberts, Doug (Darlene) Roberts, Roger (Amber) Roberts, sister; Janet (Glenn) Luning and best friend; Vernon Spence, 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife; Lynne (Myers) Roberts in 2010. Friends may call Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 11 am until 2 pm at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main, Greenfield, IN 46140. Services will follow at 2 pm at the funeral home with burial to follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
