Rosemary (Stephens) Anderson

Rosemary (Stephens) Anderson, 76, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Hancock Regional Hospital with family by her side. She was born on May 31, 1947, in Jamestown, KY, to Cecil Earl and Elena Page (Gossage) Stephens. Rosemary is a 1965 graduate of Charlottesville High School. On July 12, 1965, she married the love of her life, Delmer Anderson.

Rosemary was a tremendously loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all who knew her and will be sadly missed. Rosemary was employed as a telecommunications technician until her 2007 retirement. She loved to take vacations, anywhere, and most recently visited the Smokey Mountains and New York. She also enjoyed taking cruises and going to casinos. She loved to help others, would offer the shirt off her back, knew no stranger, and was an overly good person.

She is survived by her loving children: Sherry (Brian) Hammons, Richard (Lisa) Anderson, Anthony (Kylea) Anderson, and Steve (Laci) Anderson; 9 awesome grandchildren: Chris Hammons, Gene Hammons, Natasha Duty, Ryan Anderson, Dale Anderson, Shelbi Anderson, Brendan Anderson, Chandler Anderson, and Dylan Anderson; 10 pretty-cool great-grandchildren; and 1 new addition great-great-grandson; siblings: Jeanette Archibald, Kenny Stephens, Becky Green, and Bruce Stephens; and beloved dog, Smokey.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 54 years, Delmer Anderson; and brothers, Earl Stephens and Dennis Stephens.

Visitation will be on Monday, November 13, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield. The service will be held the following morning, Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., also at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Roger Kinion.
