Ross Stanley Hatcher, 74, a lifelong resident of Greenfield, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at his residence surrounded by loving family. Stanley was born on October 5, 1951, in Greenfield, to Ross and Eva (Baty) Hatcher. He is a 1970 graduate of Greenfield Central High School. He married the love of his life, Kathy Diana Brindley.
Stanley was a lifelong musician who played guitar with several local bands. He and Kathy enjoyed spending quality time at their campgrounds. Stanley worked for International Harvester in the foundry area for 25 years, before retiring in 1997.
Stanley is survived by his loving wife Kathy; children, Amy Hatcher, Carmen (Brian) Milner, and Heather Hatcher; grandchildren: Kyle (Brittany) Hatcher, Ivy Kemerly, Ella Cloud, Anza Milner, and Ethan Buchannan; great-granddaughter, Marley Hatcher; and siblings, David (Tammy) Smith, Teresa Hatcher and Carlton Hatcher.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Summers; step-father, John David Smith; and brothers, Jerry Hatcher and Kim Hatcher.
Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Greenfield, is of assistance to the Hatcher family. There will not be any immediate gathering, but a Celebration of Life gathering will be planned in the Spring of 2026.
