Royce A. "Lurch" McPherson, age 70, of Greenfield passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born August 13, 1950 in Greenfield to the late John Albert Lee and Mary Ann (Stanley) McPherson-Adams.
As a lifelong Hancock County resident, Lurch knew everyone and was loved by all. He was a self-employed handyman and loved to collect and barter. If there was anyone in need, Lurch was always first in line to lend a helping hand. He loved to play cards and you could always find him dancing at "The Barn" or a local auction.
One of 18 children, Lurch is survived by his sisters, Phyllis Tanner, Tonya Baker, Marsha Powell, Jackie Prange, Debbie Skaggs, and Sylvia Settles: aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, mentioned above; stepfather, Casey Adams; brothers, Edgar, Richard, Terry, and Rickey; sisters, Patricia Hendren, Janet McPherson, Debra McPherson, Sue Crabtree, and Trina Sweezy.
A drive through visitation/viewing will be 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Greenfield, Indiana. Visitors will be asked to remain in their cars and follow the traffic pattern.
Graveside service 11:00 am, Friday, December 18th at Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Social Distancing and masks will be required.
