Ruby Pearl (Ping) Chaney, age 74 of Greenfield, IN passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 13, 1942 in Somerset, KY to the late James E. and Nella P. (Rogers) Ping.
Ruby retired from the United Technologies Carrier Division, was a regular bingo player at the American Legion, and loved spending time with her Boston terrier, Sissie.
Ruby is survived by her son, Billy Waldroff of Indianapolis, daughter, Debra McCauley of Greenfield, brothers, James Ping of Indianapolis, Melvin Rogers of Monrovia, IN, sister, Ann McCoy of Indianapolis, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Denise M. Waldroff, and her brother, Harlan Ping.
Friends may call from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 W Main St. Greenfield, IN 46140. Private family burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield at a later date.
