Ruth W. Clifton August 25, 1921 - February 13, 2014 Ruth W. Clfiton, age 92, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield, Indiana. She was born the 25th of August, 1921 in Hancock County to the late Harry and Nancy (Smith) Wilfong. Ruth graduated from Charlottesville high school. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Psi Iota Xi sorority, and belonged to the First Church of Christ Science. She is survived by her sons, Morris H. (Sara) Clifton of Greenfield, Norman D. (Tammy) Clifton II of Greenfield, and daughter Joy (Allen) Hackney of Melbourne, Florida, grandchildren Audra (Leary) Phelps of Greenfield, Candace (Clifton) Yoder of Greenfield, Tiffany (Clifton) Heiny of Greenfield, LeeAnn (Leary) Maxam of Florida, William Jason Hackney of Florida, Jennifer Hackney of Florida, and great-grandchildren Jonathon, Alexa, Riley, Madison, and Carson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman D. Clifton, in 1982, her parents, brothers Harold Wilfong, Roscoe Wilfong, Paul Wilfong, Floyd Wilfong, George Wilfong, sisters Anna Mae Walker Holiday, Mary Lockridge, Martha Wilfong, and grandchild, Jonna Leary Hacher. Visitation will be Monday, February 17, 2014 from 5 8 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 W. Main St. Greenfield, IN 46140. Services will be Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Park Cemetery.
