Ruth C Long

Ruth C. Long November 28, 1921 - July 30, 2012 Ruth (Tague) Long born November 28, 1921 passed away July 30, 2012 in South Florida at age 90. She was born in Hancock County to the late Clarence and Luella (Simmons) Allender. Ruth graduated from Charlottesville School and married Marion H Tague. They lived in the Greenfield area until work took them to Greencastle, Indiana in 1955. While in Greencastle, Ruth married Lewis Long who preceded her in death in 1971. In the early 1980s, after her retirement from the Indiana State Farm, Putnamville, Indiana, Ruth moved to Pompano Beach, Florida to be near her family, where she lived until her death. Ruth was a Member of the Greenfield Christian Church, the Greencastle Christian Church, and most recently the Trinity United Methodist Church Lighthouse Point, Florida. Ruth was also a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Cloverdale Chapter 36. She is survived by her son, John Tague; daughterin-law Linda Tague of Pompano Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Stacia Tague, Spring Hill, TN; and James Tague of Pompano Beach, FL. Funeral service will at 1:00 p.m. Saturday August 4, 2012 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will to follow at Park Cemetery Greenfield, Indiana.
