Ruth Ann (Rosenbaum) Plummer

Ruth Ann (Rosenbaum) Plummer, 85, New Palestine, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022. She was born on November 30, 1936, in New Palestine, IN, to Fred and Frieda (Harting) Rosenbaum. She was a 1954 graduate of New Palestine High School. Ruth followed in her father's footsteps by becoming the town clerk treasurer of New Palestine. Being a lifelong resident of New Palestine, Ruth loved to share her knowledge on the town history. She enjoyed volunteering her time at the New Palestine History Museum. She loved to travel and was proud to say she had visited all 50 states. She loved cardinals and irises. Ruth is survived by her loving children: Beverly (John) Berndt, Barbara (Don) Cole, and Brenda Plummer; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Plummer, and children Ronnie and Linda. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 19, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home - Hendryx Chapel, 19 East Main Street, New Palestine, IN. The service will start at 11:00 a.m. and be officiated by Ruth's son-in-law, John Berndt. Memorial contributions may be made to New Palestine United Church, 15 East Main Street, New Palestine, IN.
