Ruth Ann Smith

Ruth Ann Smith February 11, 1936 - November 28, 2006 Ruth Ann Smith, 70, of Eden, departed this life on November 28, 2006. She was born February 11, 1936, in Hancock County to George and Martha (Butcher) Walker, Ruth Ann lived all her life in the Eden Community and graduated from Eden High School in 1954. She worked at Fort Harrison Finance Department, the Pendleton Dime Store, the Greenfield Wal-Mart, and her remaining years as the cafeteria manager at the Eden Elementary School. Survivors include daughter, Beth Ann Harvey and her friend, Donald Wayman of Eden; brother, William C. (Vivian) Walker of Greenfield; grandson, Jason Harvey of Eden; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, William "Bud" Smith in 1988 and son in law, Joe Harvey. Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Friday December 1, 2006 at Eden U.M.C. with Pastor Sally Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow at Eden Cemetery. Friends may call 3- 8pm on Thursday November 30, 2006 at Pasco-Stillinger Funeral Home.
