Sam Garriott

Samuel Hubert Garriott Jr., age 55, of Lawrence, Indiana passed away March 5, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 30, 1967 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Samuel H. Sr. and Ruby Iona (Jackson) Garriott.

Samuel was a loving father, grandfather and uncle whose greatest joy in life was his family. He was also a great animal lover, doting on his beloved pet dogs. He had a long and successful career in Information Technology for Con Agra Foods, Incorporated.

Samuel is survived by his two children, Jason Garriott and Laura McDowall; grandchildren, Elaina and MiraJane McDowall; brothers, Jack Bell, Raymond Bell, Ricky Bell, William Bell; sister, Lori Reckley; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, listed above; his loving wife, Shawn R. Garriott; and siblings Ralph Bell, Rebecca Cook, and Tonya Goff.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, March 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home – Hendryx Chapel, 11636 East Washington Street, Cumberland, Indiana, 46229 with Brother William Bell officiating.
