Sandy Kay Evans

Sandra "Sandy" Kay (Cook) Evans, age 78, of Indianapolis, passed away July 3, 2021, at IU Health. She was born May 22, 1943, in Greenfield to the late Joseph E. and Lenna (Jackson) Cook. Sandra was a 1961 graduate of Greenfield High School and prior to her retirement was an administrative assistant at Indiana National Bank. She married Richard "Rick" Evans on May 22, 1993. She was an active member of Garfield Christian Church where she led the social committee and taught Sunday School for many years. Sandra enjoyed crocheting, sewing and all things crafty. Above all else she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Rick Evans; children, Christina (Bruce) Turnbill, Richard Farquer; grandchildren, Joshua (Anyssa McNiel) Turnbill, Joel (Kimberly) Turnbill, Krista Foor; great grandchildren, Charlotte Steele, Savanna Bose; siblings, Barbara Corley, Patricia Welter, Donald (Cheryl) Cook; sister-in-law, Debbie Cook, several nieces and nephews. Sandra is preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary Farquer, sister, Linda Cook; brothers, Terry Cook, Bill Cook; and grandson David Turnbill. Friends may call Wednesday July 7, 2021 from 9:am until 12:pm at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Funeral service will be 12:00 pm at the funeral home with Fred Sigle officiating, burial immediately following at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
