Sarah Ann Payne

Sarah Ann Payne, 60, of Greenfield passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at her residence. She was born on April 26, 1965, in Greenfield, Indiana to the late George Jerry and Mary Ann (Oliphant) Lewis. She attended Greenfield Central High School, where she graduated in 1983. She then attended IU to obtain her associate's degree, followed by attending the Hancock Radiology School.

Sarah worked as an x-ray tech in the radiology department at Hancock Regional Hospital for more than 25 years, before retiring in 2015. She later worked for Home Health. She was a member of Greenfield First Church of the Nazarene.

She devoted all her time to her grandchildren, who called her "Nana." Sarah was an avid reader who loved the Harry Potter series. She could be found gardening, tending to her flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Mariah (Dustin) Ante, Hannah (Jason) Burton; grandchildren, Aria, Ashton, Lainey, Camden, and Landon; brother-in-law, David Lahr; and her grand-puppy, Duke.

Sarah is preceded in death by her parents, as listed above, and sister, Jane Ann Lewis.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 25,2025, from 11 am – 1pm at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 W. Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. Services will follow at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Park Cemetery.
