Sharon Lynne (Pleasant) Porter

Sharon Lynne (Pleasant) Porter, age 74, of Greenfield, Indiana, passed away on June 15th, in Greenfield. She was born on December 21, 1950, to Paul and Doris Pleasant. She was a long-time resident of Greenfield, and an active member of the community.

She married Alva (Al) Porter on November 20, 1970, and they had 54 wonderful years together. Sharon was a devoted wife and mother, giving everything to her family. She also worked hard for the family business, as well as frequently giving to the community through volunteer work at Meals on Wheels. She delivered meals and companionship to seniors for 21years.

Sharon had many hobbies and interests over the years, including basket-making, as well as stained glass work, running, kickboxing, and aerobics. She adored her friends at the Fitness Center, and she never missed a class. She also enjoyed reading, baking, and travelling with her husband, Alva.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ray Pleasant.

She is survived by her husband, Alva; her sisters, Carol and Lisa; her children, Adrienne, Aaron, Marcus, and Katie; as well as her grandchildren, Nico, Dylan, and Lilly.

A memorial visitation for Sharon will take place on Friday, June 20th at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, from 4-7pm, with a service at 7pm. Donations may be made in her name to Meals on Wheels.
