Shirley Lorene Harper October 6, 1937 - November 21, 2006
Shirley Lorene Harper age 69 a resident of Mohawk In. passed away Tuesday November 21, 2006 at her home. With her children and husband at her bedside.
She was born October 6, 1937 in Indianapolis, to Joseph W. Nichols and Elena (Daughtery) Nichols.
She worked for Community Hospital North for 6 years. Prior to that she worked at Weston Elementary School Cafeteria. Also was owner of Mohawk Creations. She was a member of Mohawk United Methodist Church. And Received her GED from Mount Vernon High School.
Survivors include her husband Donald V. Harper of Mohawk which she married on July 13, 1957 also Son: Jeffery D. (Diana) Harper of Pittsboro, In. Daughters: Debra V. (Terry) Ewing of Greenfield, Theresa L. (Tim) Smith of Greenwood, Rebecca F. Harper of Greenfield. Brothers: Joseph W. Nichols of Indianapolis, Larry G. Nichols of Greenfield, James E. Nichols of Indianapolis, Sisters: Marianne Nichols of Greenfield, Juanita Herald of Brownsville, KY. Bessie Emmons of Indianapolis. 11 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces and Nephews and One Great Nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. on Saturday November 25th at Pasco-Stillinger Funeral Home. With Steve Kropacek and Marianne Nichols conducting the services. Entombment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday November 24th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services.
Memorial contributions may be made to ALS Association of Indianapolis, or Mohawk U.M.C. Youth Fund or Mohawk U.M.C.Childrens Sunday School.
