Shirley Lynn Tumey

Shirley Lynn Tumey, age 79 of Carmel passed away, October 15, 2023, at St. Vincents Hospital. She was born March 14, 1944, in Indianapolis to the late Harlan and Grace (White) Tumey.

Shirley was a 1962 graduate of Broad Ripple High School. Shirley loved gardening, baking, and cooking. She loved all animals especially her horse, Amber which she enjoyed camping and trail rides. Shirley loved spending the holidays with her extended family and friends playing those "famous" Mahjong games.

She is survived by her brother; Gary L. Tumey, sister; Rosemary S (Jimmie) Green, nephews; Brian S. (Gina) Goodman, Andrew M. Goodman, Patrick (Tina) Settergren, John Jay (Tammy) Settergren, nieces; Kimberly L. (Rachael) Hadley, and Amy (Mike) Rosenberger, and many great nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents mentioned above, twin brother, Steve Tumey, sister Sharon Tumey, and great nephew, Riley Settergren.

In keeping with her wishes all services will be private.
