Smara Jane (Delhagen) Miller

Smara Jane (Delhagen) Miller, 80, Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Golden Living Center Brandywine. She was born on January 27, 1941, in New Castle, IN, one of twenty children, to Isaac LeRoy and Smara K. (Collins) Delhagen. Jane married her love William G. Miller on November 9, 1973. Jane was a tremendously loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her and will be sadly missed. Jane knew no stranger and was often a social butterfly. She loved to cross-stitch, complete word searches, and read. She also had a love and passion for dogs. She was a member of the Nazarene faith. Jane worked in housekeeping for Golden Living Center Brandywine for 14 years. From there, she transitioned to Wendy's fast-food restaurant and worked for 7 years, retiring in 2003. Jane is survived by her loving son, Steve (Tracy) Miller; grandson, Steven Lee Miller; siblings: Jack Delhagen, Bill Isaacs, Joan McClaren, Marilyn Runyon, and Everett Delhagen; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Miller of 45 years; and numerous siblings. Visitation will be on Monday, December 6, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, with the service immediately following.
