Sonnia Shultz, Tapscott age 98, left us to be with the lord on Friday July 31, 2026, at Prairie Lakes Health Campus, Noblesville, Indiana. She was born July 13, 1928, in East Germany to the late Walter and Martha (Schlittkus) Schultz.
Following WW2 and a difficult childhood, she came to America in 1948. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, mamma, great mamma, sister, and friends of many. She loved traveling and was an avid card player. She loved the challenge of a good poker game. Mamma Oma you will be deeply missed and always loved in the hearts of all who knew you. Ich Liebe Dich.
She is survived by her daughter Julie (Shepherd) Guyer (Steve), grandsons, Justin Moore, Matt Shepherd, granddaughter, Jenna Moore, three stepchildren, Steve, Lori, Dana, brother, Jurgen Shultz in Germany, great-grandsons, Mason and Gio.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Orville Tapscott, son, David Shepherd and brother Kalus in Germany.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., Monday, August 10, 2026, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 W. Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Chirs Neal officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, Indianapolis.
