Sophia Mildred "Millie" Sisson April 16, 1936 - October 20, 2010 Sophia Mildred Sisson, known to all her friends and family as "Millie" passed away October 20, 2010 at 12:06 p.m. Born April 16, 1936 in London, Kentucky she lived with her parents William M. and Sallie Floyd (Rogers), and 9 siblings, Thelma Reynolds, Beulah Jones (Morristown),Burchel Floyd, Flossie Cutter, Elmer Floyd, Leighton Floyd, Delbert Floyd, Betty McKeeman, and Ruby Floyd Van Meter (Lakeland, WA). During high school, Millie moved to Greenfield where she met Floyd L Sisson Jr. "Buddy." After high school she went to beauty school and married "Buddy" October 23rd 1954. In 1956 they started their family and had three gorgeous daughters Penni D. (married Chopper Bennett), Vicki "Tori" (married/ Nelson Higgason), and Terri Jo (married/Robert Stoten). A hairstylist/instructor at the House of James, she is in part responsible for making the people of Greenfield so good-looking. Mille and Buddy have five grandchildren, Shauta Marsh Walker married to James Walker, Jeremiah Higgason married to Jennifer Rossi Higgason, Jessicah Fruits (Higgason) married to Christopher Fruits, Josee Bennett, and Jake Bennett and two great grandchildren, Vivien and Max Walker. She was a member of the Trinity Park United Methodist Church, the Moose lodge, and the Hancock Memorial Hospitals Guild. Witty, fun and wise, her husband, Buddy called her "my prize". After he grew ill in 1993 she cared for him until his death in 2001. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 25, 2010 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield with Michael Manning and Gary Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Friends may call Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association and the Hancock Memorial Hospital Guild. Comments I am so sorry to hear of Millie's passing..I worked at HRH when she volunteered there and she was always so friendly and nice to everyone...Know that we are " thinking of you all at this difficult time....
