Stella M. Greene May 18, 1914 - February 14, 2007 Stella Margaret (Sorrell) Greene, 92, of Greenfield passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at Regency Place, Greenfield. She was born May 18, 1914 in Salt Lick, KY to the late Lacey and Grace (Purvis) Sorrell. She was a graduate of Lewisville High School and worked at State Hospital in New Castle for 14 years. She was a member of Greenfield Christian Church and the Home Economic Club of Spiceland. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and cooking. She is survived by sisters, Pearl Rice of Mount Sterling, KY, Edna Hunt of New Castle; daughters, Carolyn Sue (James L.) Edwards of Greenfield, Sandra Kay (Joe W.) Atkinson of Owensboro, KY; step son, Ben Greene of Curtis, OH grandchildren, Eric Lee Edwards of Greenfield, Malea Jo Warren of Owensboro, KY, Gary Greene of Curtis, OH; 3 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Mason Greene in 1961; brothers, Emmett and Manuel Sorrell. Funeral service will be 12 noon Monday, February 19, 2007 at Pasco-Stillinger Funeral Home with Rev. David McCracken officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery, New Castle.
