Stephen Bender

Stephen Bender, 69 of Greenfield passed away on October 10, 2019 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on June 5, 1950 in Greenfield, IN to the late Harold and Beverly (Caldwell) Bender. He was a 1968 graduate of Greenfield High School. Stephen married his late wife Marjorie (Walker) Bender on August 16, 1980. He retired in January 2019 from the Greenfield water Utilities after 40 years of service. Steve enjoyed reading, listening to music, watching movies and the Pacers. He also really enjoyed a good scotch and craft beer. He is survived by his children Amy Bender and Logan (Marissa) Bender. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Marjorie. Services for Stephen will be Friday October 18, 2019 at 6PM with visitation from 2-6PM at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street Greenfield, IN 46140. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in Stephen's memory to the Hope House 35 E Pierson St Greenfield, IN 46140.
