Steven Dennis Snyder

Steven D. Snyder, 77 years, a resident of Indianapolis, passed away at his residence Thursday night, August 22, 2024. He was born September 22, 1946, in Indianapolis to Harry & Frieda (Hodltke) Snyder.

Steven served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and retired in 2018 as an over-the-road truck driver.  He was a member of the VFW # 261, the American Legion and was a Free and Accepted Mason.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, visiting casinos in Las Vegas and was an avid Colts fan.

He is survived by his mother, Frieda, daughters, Lynn Kitchens, Stephanie (Ronnie) Gutierrez, Cathy (Charles) Wise, Deborah Johnson, brothers, Harry Snyder, Rick Snyder, Gary Snyder, sister, Joyce Kramer, 11 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father listed above, wife, Shirley Snyder, brother, David Snyder and great grandson, Jacob Snyder.

Visitation will 11: 00 am until 2:00 pm Tuesday August 27, 2024, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Hendryx Chapel, 11636 East Washington Street, Cumberland, Indiana 46229. The funeral service will be 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis.
