Suann Blackwell Whitaker

SuAnn (Blackwell) Whitaker, 78, Carmel, IN, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 13, 2022. She was born in Lebanon, IN, to Keith Grant and Euva Gevena (Sullivan) Blackwell on October 27, 1943. SuAnn was a 1962 graduate of Warren Central High School and a 1966 Ball State graduate, finishing her graduate degree in education at Butler University. She taught elementary grades in IPS from 1967 until 2001. SuAnn was a member of Alpha Chi education sorority and a member of Radiant Christian Life Church where she taught K-2 Sunday school. Her interests included reading, playing Euchre with friends, attending the symphony, cooking, and entertaining. She is survived by her triplet sister, LeAnn Blackwell and first cousins, Alan (Peggy) Ross and Candyce (Tim) McDonough. She was preceded in death by her parents and her triplet brother, Keith Blackwell. Visitation will be on Friday, August 19, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Radiant Christian Life Church, 16162 Carey Road, Westfield, IN, with the service starting at 12:00 noon, also at church, officiated by Pastors Jerome Sack and John Peoples.
