Tammy L. Holman

Tammy L. (Perkins) Holman, age 58, of Greenfield, Indiana, passed away August 8, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 10, 1964 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Leonard and Shirley (Jaynes) Perkins. She was married to Richard C. Holman in 2003, and he survives.

Tammy was a self-employed home health caregiver for many years, a career that was a very big part of her life until her retirement just a few short years ago. She enjoyed browsing garage sales, thrift shops and flea markets. Tammy loved drinking Pepsi and eating Reese's peanut butter cups. She will be remembered for joking that she always had to arrive late, and that she would be "late for her own funeral." She enjoyed gospel music, including the Gaither Vocal Band and the Collingsworth Family, and was a member of Immanuel Holiness Church of Greenfield. She will be greatly missed by her beloved chihuahua dog, Koko.

Tammy is survived by her husband, Richard C. Holman; daughter, Melissa (Reyes) Rodriguez; sons, Robert (Tia Lazaropolis) Rutherford II and Kaleb (Nikayla Parker) Rutherford; sister, Crystal Perkins Fogleman; brothers, David Perkins and Aaron Perkins; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, listed above; and son, Geoffrey Rutherford.

Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Immanuel Holiness Church, 1038 East 4th Street, Greenfield, Indiana. Funeral service at the church will begin at 1:00 p.m., with burial immediately following at Washington Park East Cemetery, 10612 East Washington Street, Indianapolis. Brother Jeff Jones will officiate.
