Terri Jo (Hughey) Snyder-Cassie

Terri Jo (Hughey) Snyder-Cassie, 73, Knightstown, IN, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, as family stood vigil. Terri was born on November 24, 1951, in Indianapolis, IN, to Charles Bernard and Carol Ann (Haine) Hughey. Terri graduated from Zionsville High School and furthermore from Palomar College, San Marcos, CA, with a degree in Nursing. She married Mark Jeffery Cassie on June 13, 1987.

Terri was an amazingly unselfish woman. She had a big heart, was always thinking of others, she knew no stranger and her social butterfly skills were top-notch. She was everyone's ear when they needed a friend. She was overwhelmingly proud of her children, Crystal and Brandon. When her grandchildren were born, forget it, she spoiled them like a grandmother could and should. Shhh….don't tell Martha Stewart, but Terri was a better version of Martha as she loved to tend the vegetable gardens, grew beautiful flowers in her many flower beds, made crafts that were exquisite, could interior decorate second to none, cooked and baked, and hosted Thanksgiving dinners that were talked about for years. Aside from Terri's hobbies, she loved spending time with her family, friends, and neighbors. She enjoyed speaking to her son, Brandon, often about astrological events. Terri recently worked at Greenfield's Walmart, working as a pharmacy technician. She often had passerby's stop and exchange greetings or pleasantries. Before becoming a technician, she worked at the pharmacy desk cashiering. She retired in 2020. Before Walmart, Terri worked at Hancock Regional Hospital in coding and billing for the OB GYN department. She was of the Catholic faith.

Terri is survived by her loving husband Mark of nearly 38 years; loving children, Brandon Snyder and his wife, Allison French with grandchild Chloe Snyder and Crystal Fulton and her partner, John Mirro with grandchildren: Hailee Fulton, Van Fulton and Alexis Fulton (Dylan MacKichan) with great-granddaughter Magnolia MacKichan; siblings, Cheryl (Matthew) MacWillie and Dean Hughey; many nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Jerry Cassie and Ron (Sue) Cassie; and beloved dog, Ozzie.

Terri was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Pam Deer; and late husband, Gregory Scott Snyder.

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m., at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Greenfield. A celebration of life will be held from 3:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., at the home of Terri and Mark.
