Terry E. Bruner, 72 of Greenfield passed away Sunday, January 10, 2016 in Greenfield. He was born March 22, 1943 in Greenfield to the late Oren J. Bruner and Martha (Elliott) Murphy.
Terry was a graduate of Greenfield Central High School and was proud of his acceptance into the National Honor Society. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era where he was assigned to Army Security through the National Security Agency.
He married Linda M. (Tutrow) Bruner on December 3, 1966. Together they made their home and were lifelong residents of Greenfield. Terry was active in the community theater for 25 years, a member of the American Legion, VFW and a longtime volunteer for Hancock Regional Hospital. Prior to his retirement in 1999 Terry was a firefighter and millwright for General Motors at the Allisons location and was the Security Coordinator for the 10th Pan Am Games in Indianapolis.
He is survived by his wife Linda of Greenfield; sons, Chad Bruner of Morristown, Todd Bruner of Shelbyville; daughter, Linda K. Bruner of Greenfield; sisters; Linda Rowe of Colorado, Marty Murphy, Robin Felkins both of Indianapolis and three grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters.
Friends may call 10 am 1 pm, Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Services will follow at 1 pm. Burial with military graveside rites at Park Cemetery immediately following the service.
