Thomas F. Morris, age 84 of Fortville passed away, Sunday, March 22, 2020 at his home. He was born August 23, 1935 in Chicago, IL to the late William Morris and Lyda (VanArkel) Vanbuskirk.
Tom received his bachelor's degree in business administration from Western Michigan University. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1955-1958 and married Carol (Brown) on April 28, 1962. They were lifelong residents of Valparaiso, IN and moved to Fortville 10 years ago to be near their daughters and families. Prior to retiring Tom was a sales representative for McGill / Emerson Manufacturing.
Tom was a true cowboy and loved his horses. He was an avid reader, enjoyed gambling and travelling to Las Vegas. He was always present at the sporting events of his children and grandchildren. He was a former member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Valparaiso and a current member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, Fortville, the Elks Lodge and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife Carol; daughters, Sue (Jay) Mills and their children, Jake and Kevin; Jamie Galle and her children, Luke, Megan and Alex; Jody Barnhorst and her children; Zach, Erin and Katie; and Kelly (Alan Farkas) Ploch; sister, Patty (Paul) Glinski; and brother, Bill (Nancy) Morris.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Dave Galle.
