Vera Jeanne Spencer

Vera Jeanne Spencer, 30, passed away unexpectedly in Indianapolis, Indiana, March 4, 2024. She was born February 13, 1994, in Indianapolis. She is the daughter of Rebecca Retherford and was the oldest of seven children.

Vera was 2013 graduate of Eastern Hancock High School. While in high school, she participated in band and drama. She always wanted to be a part of anything that gave her an opportunity to help other people. She took her role as a "Big Sister" seriously, always looking out for her younger sisters and brothers. She was friends with everyone. She loved spending time with her family, especially her siblings. She enjoyed traveling and never met a stranger. Vera had a big heart, she always wanted everyone to be happy and to feel important.

She is survived by her mother, Rebecca Retherford; her daughter, Bella King; three sisters, Cora Spencer, Laura Spencer, Lorissa Spencer; three brothers, Daniel Spencer, Jacob Spencer, and Shawn Spencer. She is also survived by her grandparents, Rex and Judith Malott; uncles, Timothy (Debra) Retherford and Donald (Susan) Retherford.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, is honored to handle Vera's arrangements.
