Vertie L. Coots May 27, 1928 - July 29, 2014 Vertie L. Coots, 86, of Greenfield, passed away early Tuesday morning at Kindred Care She was born on May 27, 1928 in a Robbins, Tennessee to the late William and Ida (Louden) Sims. Vertie is survived by; son, Rick (Linda) West of Marion, daughter; Sue (Gary) Riggs of Greenfield, grandchildren; Gary (Danielle) Riggs of Greenfield, Ronnie (Christa) Riggs of Greenfield, Kim (Spencer) Riddle of Marion, 7 great-grandchildren, sister; Beatrice Cox of Black Creek, TN and several nieces and nephews. Vertie is preceded in death by parents, husband; Allen Coots, sons; Ronnie and Jerry West, 5 brothers and 1 sister. A public visitation for Vertie will be from 11:00 to 1:00 pm on Friday August 1, 2014 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, and 1780 W Main St, Greenfield, IN 46140. Funeral services will begin at 1 PM on Friday August 1, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Gas City.
