Vesta Elizabeth Sandlin March 9, 1933 - November 27, 2007
Vesta Elizabeth Sandlin, 74, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at Hancock Regional Hospital.
She was born March 9, 1933 in Hammond, Kentucky to the late Johnnie Mae (Keebler) and Frank Bruner.
She was co-owner and retired secretary for Sandlin Construction of Greenfield, a member of the Moose Lodge in Greenfield and co-leader of Girl Scouts in Greenfield, and loved giving to various charities. She devoted most of her time to her family and loved ones.
Survivors include her husband, Irvin D. Sandlin of Greenfield; daughters, Brenda Sue Sandlin of Greenfield, Carylon Ann Sandlin of Greenfield, and Linda Lou (Sandlin) Arrowood of Shelbyville; sisters, Jessie Laurie Fields of Cumberland, KY, Ollie Mae Sturgill of Greenfield, and Rhonda Helen Mullens of Cumberland, KY; brothers, Benny Bruner of Greenfield, and Gene Bruner of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Roger Irvin Mayhugh, Kristine Elizabeth Mayhugh, Marlissa Marie (Spiker) Swinehart, Rex "Hunky" Allan Spiker, Gregory Lee Sandlin Arrowood, Victoria "Ia" Vesta Sandlin Arrowood, Nicholas Lee Asher, Nygah Nicole Sandlin, Neamiah Nathanial Sandlin, Shawnda Mae Sandlin Arrowood, and Shawn Michael Mayhugh; great-grandchildren, Emily Nicole Swinehart, Kaitlin Nicole Spiker, Nathan Bradley Swinehart, Ethan Allan Spiker, Brenda Christian Hezekiah Swinehart, Ashton Kreed Mayhugh, Jonathon Paul Mayhugh, Cody James Mayhugh, Ivan Alexander Davis, Ian Alan Davis, Portia Maelee Sandlin Arrowood, Alexander Lee Arrowood, and Ethan Wyatt Davis.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Lois (Sandlin) Ritchie and a grandchild, Michael Hezekiah Asher.
Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel-Greenfield with Pastor Ira Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4:00
p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
