Vina P. Roland January 9, 1919 - May 24, 2010 Vina P. Roland age 91 years, a lifelong resident of Knightstown, passed away Monday, May 24, 2010 at Regency Place Health Care Center in Greenfield. She was born January 9, 1919 in Morehead, Kentucky and is the daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Johnson) Tipton. She is a homemaker and a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Dunreith. Surviving include daughters, Betty Wells, New Castle, Joyce (Michael) Pearson, Greenfield, Carolyn (Richard) Harding, Knightstown, Mardella (Myron) Trowbridge, Birmingham, AL; son, Richard (Mary) Roland, Greenfield, and 47 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Paul Roland April 23, 1986; daughter, Shirley Roland, sisters, Ethel Hill, Telitha Kirk, Imogene Jackson and a brother, Denver Tipton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Stillinger Family Funeral Home Pasco Chapel, Greenfield. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimers Association.
